Party leader only person that can talk to mercenaries.

Exactly what the title says... anyone know how I can get my friend who isnt party leader to obtain a mercenary or future mercenaries that either of us may want without being party leader? Am I missing something?

I'm having the same problem if you want him to get a mercenary you can make him be the first one to enter a map so the mercenary will be his but in the trailer it showed that your party could join the fight and it doesn't seem to work.
