In map device, trying to use any Kalguuran Scarab, any Kirac crafting option (including default quantity one) doesn't work and reads:

'Item has wrong base type.'


I tried scarab / map in any slot, any number (limited to 2 scarabs), any crafting option, any influence, seems to really only come from the scarab.

Check your Atlas Passive tree.

The Atlas Keystone "Unwavering Vision" prevents you from modifying maps with fragments other than Divine Vessels. "Fragments" includes scarabs.

Oh damn, only thought it had no scarab drop & 20 points.
