60,000 fewer players in 5 days of league play.
As I said, 60,000 fewer players in just 5 days of the new expansion and league. You'd get sick of reading the same 10 forum members saying that Poe is the best ARPG in history and that Poe Deuce is filthy garbage, blah blah. What happened isn't bad; in 3 more weeks, Poe will have the same number of players as Poe Deuce in 3 months of the league.
And if you want to use an excuse for how bad the servers are, the disconnections and rollbacks, that also happened, and for a very long time, in Poe Deuce. Enjoy until there's no one left in the new expansion and league. Which, apparently, will be soon. Last edited by Moonwalker#5595 on Jun 18, 2025, 5:43:50 PM Last bumped on Jun 23, 2025, 5:46:59 PM

What's the goal of this post?
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" I assume you didn't play POE2, because no, they did not, there were some connection issues, but they were completely different than these, comparing them shows a lack of familiarity with one of them. |

" You are grossly underestimating the effect of these server issues on casual players. Dedicated players have been trucking on through the loss of items, maps and EXP progress. Casual players, on the other hand, are not as forgiving or tolerant, and they account for a sizeable chunk of the playerbase. And no, the severity of these server issues were not present in POE2. Not even close. The frequency of these rollbacks is unprecedented. There's no revising history on this one, I'm afraid. |

Masterpiece of 3.16 lore "A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. It's a mediocre and rushed patch advertised as an expansion. Not the comeback many have hoped for after a year of nothing. The dropoff is expected and will continue.

" I don't think Secrets of Atlas was rushed. It was probably well into development pre-Settlers and devs moving to PoE2. I sincerely doubt they could've created both the expansion and league content from scratch in ~three months, given the circumstances. |

" There's no goal in this post; I'm just letting those who were comparing numbers and talking about tourists and such, referring to the fact that Poe Deuce is a temporary thing, predicting that when Poe returns with a new league, it will prove just how superior it is compared to its "horrible" sequel. There are the numbers for now; we'll see what happens when the league reaches its first month. |
