South Africa Gateway login bug Bug Report ID: #1284578665

Hello,

I'd like to report a strange bug I've encountered with logging into the South Africa gateway.

This has been apparent ever since the 3.26c update.

What happens is:
1. Attempt to start the game and login.
2. Get an popup error message reading:
"There has been a patch that you need to update to. Please restart Path of Exile".
3. IF RESTARTING GOTO 9
4. ELSE: (Select another Gateway example London EU)
5. Login works just fine.
6. Logout
7. Select "Automatic Gateway" which chooses "South Africa".
8. Login works just fine again.
9. Exit game.
10. Restart Path of Exile client (from Steam) and Steam performs a Validation / Verification Check because PoE client flagged the game as not most recent version. No discrepancies found. Steam validates all files as OK.
11. Game Client starts and the whole thing begins anew.

Any suggestions here as to what to try next?

Any idea what's causing this bug?
I've re-installed the game client and still the same.

+1 getting the same, so are all my friends. You can spam login to get in, but if you got that message once you will need to validate next time you launch POE. I think GGG missed updating one of the servers in the cluster.

I am also experiencing this issue on the SA server. Initial login attempt fails due to needing an update, but a second or third attempt succeeds. Client needs to validate before the game can be launched again

Still getting this issue. 90% of game launches via steam is validating my game files and only launches after. After the game launches have to attempt to log in multiple times as I get a message that an update is required but I am on the latest version.

I am also experiencing this same issue on the SA server. Whenever I start up the game it will first validate my game files. Then when the game finally starts up I have to spam login 2 or 3 times to actually get in because it keeps saying that there is an update.
