Is Magic Find working as intended on Mercs? (Or is it reduced?)

Hello!

As the title says,

I use an 83 Eruptor that basically covers the entire screen in fire - has 600+ MF and cull - I've run roughly about 100+ maps in the last day and I hate to say it but I've begun to question whether or not that magic find is actually working on him.

First off, yes - the cull is working - and I do notice a lot of legendaries dropping and the loot pool does seem higher - but would I say its 600+ MF worth? On a hyper juiced maps with all + Explicit, rarity and quant?

I'm not so sure!

+ the .25 or whatever they're worth for the party buff - I have to ask - are they ACTUALLY providing this buff correctly?

I remember several seasons ago and as well in POE2 - Magic Find was not registering on enemies that were killed by poison/chaos - and then that was randomly patched like several weeks into the season - so I have to ask here, is it actually working?

I've ran previous seasons with about 350-400 MF and I used to find a LOT more currency - Hell, I haven't seen a SINGLE divine drop and I've been powering through these 15/16 maps at lightning speed.

rarity magic find doesn't have any effect on currency, unless its quantity. It never has. 600+% would not change anything about your currency drops. And if you notice a lot of uniques (not legendaries, thats from a much shittier game), then chances are its working great.

No but it does effect the gold that drops, which isnt increased at all also the amount of uniques that drop should be much much higher at 600%.

This is from the gravebind wiki:

Even if the Guardian wears items that increase item quantity or rarity, these stats will not be used. Kills by minions always use the player's loot stats.

This is most likely the case and mercs are considered a minion when it comes to items.
^incorrect information:

1) A merc is most definitely not a "minion". It is an Ally. Much closer to a "second player" than a minion. Especially when calculating mf.
2) Rarity doesn't effect Gold at all either. Gold is a currency.
