Kingmaker disappeared when dropped in azurite mine

I bought a kingmaker to equip it to my AG. I went to the azurite mine like I usually do to equip it. I dropped it and it disappeared. I was stunned. I run around to find it, turn off my lootfilter, and nothing. So I dropped another item to see if the instance is bugged or not. It also disappeared. I'm very sad. I'm not sure if this is a known bug or not. Just here to report it.

As a Unique item that cannot be dropped, and shares a base item with Debeon's Dirge (fairly common), loot filters will generally hide unique Despot Axes. So, to see it, you would either have to swap to the default lootfilter, or display items hidden by the filter.

For either option, you'll want the "Always Highlight" setting on.
The default hotkey for toggling this on keyboard is Z.
The toggle binding for controller is RT+Dpad Right iirc?

This is what should be meant by "turn off my lootfilter", but I don't think people actually do this.
Open options, go to the Game tab, and change the loot filter to "None" or "<Default>".

Display items hidden by the filter:
With the "Always Highlight" setting on, holding the Highlight key (default Alt) will display items hidden by the filter.



With a stricter filter, you can tell if you're doing it right by dropping a single Scroll of Wisdom or Scroll of Portal. If you can't see it, you're not viewing items hidden by the filter correctly.

Yes, that is what I meant when I said turn off my loot filter.
If my loot filter is hiding a kingmaker unique, then I'll never use that filter again. I was just making sure it wasn't that, since I couldn't think of anything else. The second item I dropped and it disappeared was obliteration. I dropped in another area, and the filter picked it up just fine.

It's hidden because the only time a Kingmaker can be on the floor, is if a player drops it from their inventory.
Monsters cannot drop Kingmaker. They can only drop the components, Heartbreaker and Soul Taker. Heartbreaker would be hidden on a strict filter due to being common, but Soul Taker would not be hidden due to its rarity and value.



Regarding your issue, assuming it wasn't user error, I'm not sure there's much GGG can look into without more reports or more information. Hopping into the Azurite Mine and Menagerie, I haven't been able to replicate the issue.

If it happens again, recording a video demonstrating the issue would go a long way towards proving that user error isn't a factor.

This happened to me but in the Aspirants Plaza. Do you run an elegant hubris by any chance. I consumed it but nothing happened. Definitely not on the ground anymore, no loot filter at all was on.

It just happened to me twice.

First in map, then in mine azurite hideout to replicate the mistake :)
The item never appears even with Alt. He just vanish from the ground.

If anyone can explain me why. Cause i don't understand why even if my filter would have shadow it the AG should have equiped it.
