Game crash/close to desktop entering Kitava arena (Act 5)

when entering the arena for the first time i was able to place the staff but it crashed when kitava popped up (Joked that kitava got hands). all subsequent attempts would crash as soon as i entered the arena. not wearing any mtx. game runs fine up until then, even tried lowering my graphics settings to as low as i could understand and still same result.

Got Past it, had someone join my party for the fight so that i could reconnect directly to the boss fight. seems that the point of crash was during the animations of Kitava rising from the ruined cathedral. during testing to isolate the problem i saw that my CPU/GPU usage capped out before the force quit.
