3.26 on MacBook M3 Max with Steam install won't open game
Dear anyone,
I've had no issues playing PoE on my MacBook before. But now I'm out traveling and I installed 3.26 through Steam, and when I try to open open it from Steam library I can see the icon opening in bottom action bar and it "jumps" for 1-2 sec then it closes and it opens som Finder. In the finder folder there is a shortcut to "PathOfExileClien" but when I click that it opens a standalone version and downloads the full game again even though it's downloaded and installed from Steam. I tried many things: 1. Confirming Rosetta 2 is installed and reinstalled 2. Reinstall PoE several times on Steam 3. Tried to install the standalone client, but it has some other issues and it doesn't shop up the right monitor config and not graphical API choices and runs terribly, can't even load most skins or shaders and no abilities are seen in game and monsters etc doesn't load. 4. I tried to install the stand alone from PoE website but every time I open it it asks to reset game to patch, and when restart same message is in a loop Edit: Also I have checked that steam has all the permissions to Full Disk Read etc in Privacy settings. Also I've tried other games such as Dota2 through Steam and other games work well to install and play, it's only PoE1 having issues My goal is to be able to run 3.26 on my MacBook M3 Max running in Sequoia 15.5 Is there anything anyone have done to be able to run PoE 3.26 on this setup? Thanks! Last edited by Stormsson#7291 on Jun 23, 2025, 9:47:10 AM Last bumped on Jun 23, 2025, 1:18:18 PM

I have a Macbook 14 pro m1 pro 16gb/512gb and I have the same problem, I wrote to GGG support and they said that they do not provide technical support by mail because they do not have enough employees. In fact, they cannot officially help us (Mac owners), I do not know what to do.
