Cannot log into PoE2 standalone client — login error despite working credentials

Hi GGG,

I was able to log into the official Path of Exile website using my email address and password successfully.
However, when I try to log in to the Path of Exile 2 standalone client with the same credentials, I get a login error and cannot proceed.

To clarify:
- My email and password are correct and allow me to log in to https://www.pathofexile.com
- I have also reset my password to be sure
- I am not using Steam for this test — this is the standalone version from the website

Could you please let me know why I cannot log into the standalone PoE2 client, even though my credentials are valid?

Where did you buy a Path of Exile II Early Access license?

The game will be Free to Play upon release, but at present it requires a purchase to access.
