Mercs no longer spawn??

Going back to level 30ish areas to find a merc to level an alt and there is just nothing. They don't exist. I spent 30 minutes running around through different zones resetting instance and nothing.

Minimum area level for league mechanics is character lvl -10. After 65 area lvl you are never considered overleveled.

If your character is 11 or more levels above the campaign area, league mechanics generally do not spawn.
This includes Mercenaries. So if you want to find a level 30 mercenary, you would need a character of level no more than 40 to find it. | |

I wanted to go get a higher level merc to help blast the campaign on a new character.

Good to know. Thought I go back and get me a good +20 leveling merc for an alt. I guess not.
It IS stupid because we are limited to having 3 mercs at the time so you can't park theme even if you wanted to. |
