Aura bug with merceneary

I was using the pride aura, I found a mercenary who was also using it, when I recruited him the pride aura stopped appearing on the hud and no longer affects my damage. I removed the mercenary and the problem continued. Does anyone know what might be happening?

Pride Aura does not affect you and therefore does not show up in the buff panel. It also does not change the damage in the tooltip. It only affects enemies, causing them to take more phys damage.
