Runegraft of the Angler - Herald doesn't work properly

Wanted to revive my Surfcaster build.
Herald of Ice + 100% crit = Smooth mapping.


Runegraft of the Angler doesn't let Herald of Ice and Herald of Thunder crit though UNLESS you give them any kind of base crit chance (e.g. increased critical strike support/Self-fulfilling prophecy - cluster passive).

So if I had to guess, the graft is basically giving your crit chance a 100+x Multiplier. Herald skills have a base crit of 0, though.


Weird how it got implemented, considering it worked fine for the Surfcaster in Phrecia.

Please Hotfix it, so I can use another support gem instead of increased critical strike chance. Thanks in advance.

Did it? There was multiple reports in Phrecia exactly like yours.

If I didn't add some crit chance accidentally, it worked as intended even for heralds in Phrecia. On my char at least.


And afaik self-fulfilling prophecy and the support gem are the only real methods that add said crit chance, right?



Either way: It's a bug and needs to be fixed.

Just tested in blood aqueduc.
Allocated Elemental overload and it instantly procs a soon as the HoT touches a monster even tho I don't have self-fullfilling prohecy or increased critical strike support.
Dunno if it was hotfixed but it seems to be working properly.
