Single player offline

Real talk. How feasible would it be to turn this game from live service to that. Not now since obviously the developers still make a lot of money from it and im ok with that. Im talking down the line when the playerabse is small and it wouldnt be profitable anymore to run servers and such. This game has so much content i would pay double or triple the ammount of a normal singleplayer arpg. Until a few years ago i was playing nonstop but the game become nigh unplayable sometimes. Every league my performance would drop slightly. Going into towns would crash the game due to mtx players would display. I would crash when entering maps etc. Wouldnt even dare to try hardcore due to how poorly it ran. I simply stopped having fun and noticed that its due to always online. Poe2 was also a miss for me. Since i play mainly singleplayer games i was sad to see devs gave up on the lore and went with the mini stories each league. I was hyped to learn more about vaal in incursion. It turned out its just a league and some mechanics like the rest. I know poe is build around trade and i mainly play solo so once again i was really happy they made something for me - SSF mode. Cool right? Nope turns out its just hardmode thats not fun at all since the droprate wasnt adjusted for singleplayer(im sorry but thats really dumb) why even make this? I always wanted to try for grail in poe like i did in diablo but that would be impossible with how the game works. You can just play normal mode and dont engage with other players. I think many players would also like that. Do it GGG and my soul is yours.

Bad news, I’m afraid - Chris Wilson gave a talk at GDC 2019 where he said the game would be successful with an average CCU of 10,000. According to this website, over the last 30 days, the average CCU was 54,303.9. That excludes people using the standalone client, the Epic Games Store client, an Xbox, or PlayStation. You might be underestimating how long you’d need to wait…

Granted, the company’s headcount has grown - so that 10,000 figure likely no longer holds true. But I’d say you’re still easily looking at more than a decade before they’d choose to sunset PoE 1.
I'm working on something for the PoE community! 👀

Game devs usually work on a local offline copy of the game. So it's not really a question of IF but whether they want to release an offline mode.

I can wait that time no problem xd. Im a patient man.
Offline would negatively impact GGG's revenue.
Means that GGG would go against its greatest incentive, money, GGG loves us and the entire community yeah ofc, but the first and most important thing is always money, and making the game offline the only thing it would do would be to negatively affect its income. Much to our regret, it will never happen and the only hope we have is it sunset, and not even then will we know if we really care, what is a real shame are the latency problems that do not allow us to enjoy the game, I am a directly affected player, it is almost impossible for me to play currently because of the auto pause in moments of intermittent internet (ADSL), and it hurts me all these hours of play not being able to enjoy them to the fullest because of having a bad internet (+150ms).

I really wish offline to be a thing but sadly isn't like they have it on mind.
