New patch: Secrets of the unexpected disconnections

I am autistic, and been using Path Of Exile as part of my day to day stimming while working or wanting to realx, recently, and ironically, with the hype for this new patch I have invested quite a few dlls in buying armours, pets, tabs, to support the game I love.

It has become and absolute source of stress not being able to even get through campaign, today I spent over an hour trying to get first ascendancy and failed miserably after too many unexpected disconnections.

Someone posted that not interacted with the mercenaries helped him avoid this, been there, done that, after restarting league already 5 times, getting overly tired of this.
