Chance for atlas runners to die is not accurate
As stated in the title, the chance for an atlas runner to die is not accurate. I am running solely at 1% chance and losing a runner, on average, much less than 1 in 20 maps (5%). This was also reported last season and nothing was ever done to fix the issue. Quoting post from last season that was archived:
"My atlas runners show a 1% chance for an atlas runner to die in a given map. Yet they are dying at a rate much higher than that. Yes, I have an engineering degree with a minor in math and graduate level coursework in statistics. I'm not doing the math wrong. With a reported 1% chance for an atlas runner to die per map... running 36 maps each with a displayed 1% chance for a runner to die in each map... I should not have 3 runners die in the first 10 maps (2 maps, 2 maps, 6 maps). Normal would be a 50/50 chance for one runner to die in about 68 maps. Is the 1% chance to die the the chance for EACH runner to die or the chance for A runner to die? Because it's listed as the chance for "an atlas runner to die" but it's functioning like six times as much as that "each of the atlas runners to die". I think this is either a bug in the way that the deaths are calculated or a bug in the way that the odds are reported to the player, depending on the design intent. Please fix the game so that the reported chances match the actual chances. Either make it so that runners are less likely to die, or change the phrasing so that it's clear that EACH runner has a 1% chance to die, rather than a 1% chance for the group to have one die."
