Triggerbots should not count as minions

They receive no benefits from minion stats aside from minion speed. They only receive negative effects such as Wraithlord, Chains of command and Dark monarch disabling them.

I kinda feel like that's precisely why they count as minions: same with skitterbots. Because of interactions with such powerful-yet-specific uniques like those.

Moreover....why would you need triggerbots with any of those items? The utility would be drastically limited anyway.

To be specific, my theory was to use arcanist brand to summon a lot of SRS with Dark monarch. I highly doubt this classifies as some OP mechanic.

^how would triggerbots help that? By saving you the tenth of a second it costs to lay down the second brand yourself?

And that thing would be so slow and weak....arcanist brand srs cast speed would be limited, you wouldn't be able to use unleash, you would have to invest in all the brand nodes just for utility of the brand (with no buff to srs)....it would just be a slower, weaker, inferior srs build. Even WITH the triggerbots if they worked lol. And it costs so much more mana too

Self-cast SRS Dark Monarch with unleash/awakened unleash would be like 4-5x faster getting out the SRS.....for none of the investment into brands and a whole extra support gem.



All that cast speed you'd need to invest in to get the arcanist brand to pump out SRS at any sort of usable speed.....would just simply be better with normal srs+unleash scaling exactly the same way.

Well that's just not true.

With Brand recall linked to automation and with 5 arcanist brands active each automation proc will spawn 20 SRS. So you will spawn all 40 SRS in less than 3 seconds (without having to stand still).
