divination distillate flask not working with mageblood active

hey, when i use my ci trickster character with whispers of infinity and mageblood and i try to manually use the divination distillate flask with 20% quality it won't activate.

when i take off my mageblood it suddenly is able to be activated.

is this a weird interaction with mageblood because the flask is not a magic flask

It's also not a Utility Flask, so it can't be used whenever. As a Hybrid Flask, it can be used if either your Life or Mana is not at the unreserved maximum.

When you're removing Mageblood, you're losing the stats it gives. Losing the Strength it grants means you don't have enough stats to equip your boots with Autoexertion and General's Cry. I assume that you had Autoexertion active, meaning that removing Mageblood is disabling it and freeing up previously reserved Mana.

By freeing up reserved Mana, you're no longer at the unreserved maximum Mana, so you can use Divination Distillate. Its effect would end when your unreserved Mana is full again.

ah this explains why im able to use it when unequiping the mageblood.
