Technical Support (Path of Exile 1) - Game crashes on Proton when certain players type into a chat. - Forum

Steps to reproduce:
Any proton version really, including stable, experimental or GE.

Join /global 4040.
Have this guy type into chat:
`2025/08/05 17:13:18 1036012 cff945b9 [INFO Client 320] #<-=ø=-> ่Bama: what level are you/max so far?`

The client will crash, 100% reliably. Even typing `/ignore <-=ø=-> ่Bama` will crash the game.
