Cant Log In - "New Patch - Game needs updating" Error

I cant seem to log in. I'm getting an error saying the game needs to be updated and to exit / restart. When I do this nothing happens and I still get the error. I've tried reinstalling several times with no luck.

Any help would be appreciated

I think your shaders/graphics files are corrupted, and need to be regenerated.
I have a very Quick Fix for you here.

Visit this location
C:\Program Files (x86)\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile\logs
* Delete the 2 txt files client & Latest client

Then Visit this location ( you can search ) %appdata% by your windows start menu.
C:\User\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Path of Exile
* Delete , countdown, dailydealcache, minimap, motd chache, shader chache d3d12, shop images, and Engine.version
the entire folder.

Then finally visit this location
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile
* Don't Delete Production_login.credentials ( Otherwise you will have to log back in lol )
* We will be deleting the production_config , so make sure you screenshot your keybindings if you have anything custom ect.
* Delete everything else here

* Restart your computer
* Recommend making sure graphics drivers are up to date, and Restart computer again if you update.
Once you launch the game, the fresh files will Generate.
Once you get to Town, your hideout, and first map, your game may lag for the first 15-20 seconds, and then it will be fine.
