[Suggestion] Please create a source for Alt-Arts items

Hello.

I came up with this idea after discovering in the POE2 patch notes that Alt-Art MTX from POE1 will be usable in POE2.

My suggestion is as the title says.

Since Alt-Art items could be converted into skins by destroying them, these items, which were once considered mere collectibles for enthusiasts, have gained practical use.

This is because you can now have a special skin that boasts a unique appearance in your character window, different from regular items, without any change to your character's performance.

However, the problem is that these items, which were supplied through Races in the past, have never been supplied again, and it seems unlikely they ever will be.
Even the Races that recently awarded some items from the Demi-god set are hardly ever held anymore.

In this situation, a few fanatical collectors have bought up countless of these Alt-Art items and are hoarding them, effectively controlling the prices in the Standard league.

To purchase a decent-looking item, you have to be prepared to pay several mirrors, or even hundreds of mirrors in many cases. It's wryly amusing when you consider that they were much cheaper before they could be converted into skins.

It is clear that the existing Alt-Art items on the server will continue to disappear as they are converted into skins (Recently, I heard that a famous collector of STD, who had an enormous amount of Alt-Arts, was banned), and collectors will keep raising the prices.

I understand that they should be rare and that their legacy should be respected, but I think it's problematic that people who want to acquire new Alt-Arts can't even dream of buying them due to the absurdly inflated prices.

Therefore, my suggestion is (if there are no plans to host new Races that supply new Alt-Arts) to add a vendor who sells a "Random Box" from which you can randomly obtain an Alt-Art item. The contents of the Random Box would have different acquisition probabilities based on the rarity of each Alt-Art, and a price of 1 mirror would be appropriate.

By doing this, it would be possible to protect the value of existing Alt-Arts while supplying new ones.
It would also normalize the excessively inflated value of Alt-Arts and, at the same time, contribute to curbing currency inflation in both Standard and the Leagues by adding a new mirror sink.
Furthermore, it could contribute more to motivating players in the endgame.

Please understand if the sentences sound a little awkward. I used a translation tool(Gemini)

Thank you.

This won't happen and with good reason.

Race/pvp rewards were exclusive rewards given to players who aqcuired a certain amount of points during race/pvp seasons. Key point being exclusive and they will stay exclusive as promised.

The convert mtx button is mostly for the old racers who now have a chance to turn in their rewards (or gold medals) into usable skins in poe 2. If you did not race back then and earned one, you are not entitled to one.

No, you clearly don't understand otherwise you wouldn't be making this entitled suggestion.

Reinhart already gave the nicely worded answer as to why that is.

Well, if they were untradeable and belonged solely to the racers, I would completely agree with your opinion and wouldn't have even brought this up.

However, do you really think that the majority of current alt-art owners acquired them through their own participation?

I wasn't playing the game during the period when the races that gave out these rewards were held, and I recently purchased a few alt-arts on the market for several mirrors.

If you search Standard market, you'll know that a small number of individuals hold the vast majority of alt-arts and are selling them at exorbitant prices. It goes without saying that they didn't participate in the events themselves to acquire them.

I considered the price of 1 mirror with the thought of preserving the value of the original race rewards.

Presumably, if it's a rare item that can only be obtained by achieving a high rank, the probability of acquiring it would be incredibly low.
Perhaps, reflecting your opinion, it wouldn't be so bad if the Demi-god items were not given out from such sources and were only obtainable purely as race rewards.
