Dumped windows, switched to Bazzite - Question(s)

I previously was playing PoE2 on my Windows 11 PC using the Native client because at launch of Early Access I had issues with the Steam client telling me I had to purchase the game, despite purchasing it through the GGG website. I was told by support to use the native windows client, which I had been using fine. Ive now switched to Bazzite (Linux Fedora) to be free of Windows. I am downloading the PoE2 Steam Client and have a feeling I am going to run into the same problems again. Is GGG able to help people get their steam client working in this instance at all ? Spent a lot of money on Supporter packs and would hate to think I cannot play it simply due to a steam account linking issue ? Any assistance/advice would be appreciated.
