HOW TO FIX TOWERS [Suggestion]
On the subject of towers. Just make the towers boss rushes that reveal a big chunk of the Atlas map and have a guaranteed unique book drop. Then you can give the book to an NPC in your hideout (or put it in the Atlas starting point) and voila next 5-25 maps are juiced with whatever you chose. You can level up the amount of books you can use simultaneously by clearing higher tier Towers. In higher tier towers a mysterious figure (like Maven´s niece) stalks you in the arena and while fighting the first boss summons another one. Oh my!
With this suggestion you get to keep towers, they actually serve a purpose and the traversal of Atlas is streamlined so you can strive for content that benefits progression such as clearing corruption for Atlas points. Also whenever you see a Tower you would be like "Hell yeah sexy loot tower!!!" instead of spiraling into deep depression. End of Fomo. -Amendeth Last bumped on Aug 25, 2025, 12:50:10 PM

+1
If they want to keep towers at least to give vision of their surroundings, at least they could make tablets be something not related to the towers, so going to activate one isn't a "slog" as they said. |

The way to fix towers is to stop them from being able to overlap and rebalance tablet mods accordingly.
This instantly limits the amount of tedious chores required to setup by an order of magnitude and eliminates the need to fish for good layouts. Requires almost no resources to implement, so the 'we didn't have time' excuse does not apply. Then again, that would require the Game Designers to actually sit down and try to play the current Atlas for a bit more than a few sessions, in order to finally realize how truly broken it currently is. |

Yes it does need some hard love for sure.
