Chaos Orb drop rate is too low, reducing motivation to craft gear
I am a new PoE player. I started playing PoE1 after playing PoE2. I found that the installation systems of the two games are completely different.
Now we can see that the exchange rate of Exalted Orbs to Divine Orbs has already exceeded 2000. This indicates that in the late game, Exalted Orbs are practically unspendable, yet their drop rate is too high, essentially making them equivalent to picking up a pile of trash. At the same time, because Chaos Orbs are simply too expensive and their drop rate is relatively low, people are reluctant to spend them. It's better to just use Divine Orbs to buy equipment—at least you can directly purchase a very good base item instead of spending Chaos Orbs on crafting. I can understand that GGG may be considering that they hope players can obtain a good enough foundation by clearing maps, but the randomness of clearing maps is too great, and players can hardly control it, and it is difficult to obtain a good foundation, which makes me not very willing to use various orbs to make equipment. If possible, I still hope the drop rates of Exalted Orbs and Chaos Orbs can be reverted to PoE1 levels. If it is increased to 6 affixes, there will only be one portal available. The difficulty is really terrible, and at most 3 can be spent each time. Once some extremely abnormal affixes appear in the later stage of the waystone, such as the reflection affix, it will be even more troublesome. Whether Chaos Stones are used to make equipment or to re-roll affixes, the consumption can be said to be a bottomless pit. Dozens of Chaos Stones can be easily spent on a piece of equipment. As a base currency, I think an extremely high consumption rate is required to maintain the stability of the currency. |

" Chaos orbs are not a base currency in PoE2 like in PoE, and therefore should not be used in high numbers to gamble on your crafts. waystone affixes are weaker now, so to get the same level of juice as a 3-4 affix waystone you are going to need 5-6 affixes, and those will require a lot of exalts. |
