Fix towers. The complains, the likes and the fix.

The complain everyone has: We dont want to prepare 3 towers and tablets to then be forced to run all maps in the same zone, it is the wrong way of repetitiveness and it is not fun.

What people like: We like being able to improve maps over an area to fit to our needs, and as we get better and better tablets, it feels even nicer.

The fix: divide the zone in big circles that dont overlap with the same radious sorta like this https://imgur.com/a/bpfXXpO, and then buff all tablets modifiers by like 1.5x or 2x. Then at a minimum, everyone would feel like half of their maps are as juiced as can possibly get. You could also let people see the tower as soon as they step into its range and place a tablet inmediately, that way everyone would feel juiced in every single map, without it beeing too strong.

What is so great about this? It lets you explore the map however you want, you dont have to worry about optimizing over an area or anything like that, you boot up poe 2 and run maps based on each unique map modifiers, instead of the area they are in. Additionally as you advance through the game you might have some towers with xp, or ritual, or essence, or etc... meaning you can choose to farm in the area that is best for you at any moment, giving you a sense of acomplisment.

I am sure you could do much more, I will mention a few things that came to mind but the only thoughts that I get 100% behind is the stuff on the top, the following stuff is just to see that it gives more design space:

Unique tablet that makes 3 other maps into a triangular formation of pseudo towers, being the original tower the center of that triangle, expensive tablet that lets you hyper juice like we do now, you could cap each effectiveness to 66% or tweak numbers any way to make it balanced.

Tower map completion being something special, when completing it could give special bonuses depending on tablet or it could be refreshable spot that refreshes hourly/daily. Or tower maps could be house of the new more serious bosses that have been appearing.

You could have tower tablets that teleport you to other towers or that discover more of the map around you.

You could have towers itself have a preference towards certain mechanics, making it so people want to explore more to find more towers, and yet giving the possibility of being able to satisfy the itch of completing all maps in a radious if you ever find yourself lucky and aligned with that tower innate bonus.

Well thats all. What I want to express most is that I dont think towers need to be scrapped, it is a way to esssentially have big poe1 atlas in poe2 simplified without having to change your tree all the time, the only problem is that people dont want the fomo of not taking advantage multiple overlaping towers, it just feels bad to not be as optimal as you can get. You most of all should understand how poe players are and that the healthy aproach is the non fomo one. Thanks for listening to my tower Ted talk.

I agree and I've been saying that towers shouldn't be able to overlap for months now.

With the upcoming changes to waystone modifiers fishing for 3+ overlaps will no longer be even about FOMO, but a flat out requirement in order to get enough IIR+IIQ.
Map fix won't be happening for 0.3 launch

But I at least want them to disable tablet modifiers spreading around. Only mechanic is fine at least for now. Until they find a solution to it.

I don't want to chase towers again please man.
