DirectX12 does not use full VRam with Lenovo Legion Go
|
Hello
I play PoE2 mainly on my lenovo legion go and have got heavy texture problems in Act 3. After testing a while I realized that the game uses only 3gb of Graphic Ram, even if the device has set more gb for graohics in the bios. When I switch to directX11 it uses full 6gb (which is my setting on the device) and vulcan also runs without texture problems (but shows no value for VRam in the ingame info bar). But since both of those run quite laggy compared to directx12, so I would like to use that mode ;) I have the newest drivers and also updated my windows. ![]() on the Screenshot of the game the VRam bar is half filled with 1.6gb and if it hits 3gb the textures of the game blur until they are just mono colored poligons. Here my windows info ![]() I just recreated the problem I ment. I just walked into the next area and back and it's looking like this ... ![]() Last edited by theBirne#5446 on Sep 2, 2025, 4:49:40 PM Last bumped on Jan 12, 2026, 2:02:29 AM

I can confirm the issue on Asus ROG Flow Z13, 64 GB RAM out of which I dedicated 16 GB as VRAM, but on DX 12 rendering setting there is only 4 GB VRAM max in the game. Turning to DX 11, game can access more VRAM
I've tried reinstalling drivers, clearing shader cache, changing VRAM amount, and all kind of settings. DirectX Diagnostic tool shows full amount. Last edited by janisimo#0108 on Dec 6, 2025, 11:15:19 AM

Same issue on HP running AMD Ryzen AI Max Pro 390 w/ Radeon 8050S.
Extremely annoying. Vulcan has insane load times, but uses all available VRAM. DX12 works, but after a while I get muddy textures and items is invisible, even tooltips on the ground. It's beyond me that this isn't at least acknowledged, I'm not expecting everything to be fixed if complex, but just some comment on this. |

" I run the game from time to time to see if anything changed, and today, heureka! Game can see full 16GB and runs great. I thought I'd share to bring it to your attention. Keep up the Good work GGG! |
