Siphoning Strike Not Working Properly while unarmed
I am currently working on a lightning monk build that uses the hollow palm technique. However, I have noticed that the siphoning strike ability doesnt work as intended when unarmed. The skill works fine with a quarterstaff but without one, the actual siphoning part of the ability fails to land after the teleport. I don't think the animation has been tuned with hollow palm in mind so it teleports you too far away from the enemy.

I've ran into the same issue. When you cast it you teleport next to the mob, extend your hand but do not hit it. Then cast it again (now in melee range with the mob) and it hits. Noticed same thing happen with Killing Palm as well but not as often.
Only encountered this issue today (04/09/2025) so maybe it's linked to the newest patch 0.3.0b. |

i have also encountered this. hand of chayula seems to not have this problem, maybe because its designed around being a hand strike.
maybe they can use the HoC targetting/travel code when using hollow palm for other strikes? or maybe increase the 'hitbox' that can proc the explosion when using hollow palm? |

Bumping this because this a completely reproducable problem for me as well.. Kind of devastating for my build to almost always having to trigger siphoning strike twice until the strike eventually happens... For me, this also happens with Killing Palm frequently, but not as often (like the first replier already mentioned). Any reply or investigation into this matter would be appreciated.
