Blink/sprint interaction
|
Blink works as intended. However when its now on the same button as sprint this interaction it makes blink unusable AND sprint does not work when blink is on Cooldown.
Try playing with sprint and you will want to unspec it straight away. Please put blink on a separate button and if then needed disable dodgeroll if you have blink. EDIT: Sprint is automatically on when you blink. Meaning that you blink and run in to a wall and getting staggered about 95% of the time. Came her to make a bug report exactly regarding this!
It's precisely as you Creepr is describing. If you keep holding down the sprint key after blinking you will sprint, but if you stop sprinting, and want to sprint again, you are unable to do so until the blink skill is off cooldown. I immediately removed the blink skill after realizing this. Having the sprint on cooldown because of blink was just to much of a downgrade. I agree with the creator of this thread. Either seperate the blink skill from the sprint button, or rework the sprint ability so that it's not on cooldown after using blink. Loving the new content GGG!! You're doing an amazing job :D |

Bumping this, since I've been having the exact same problem with Blink on Sands of Silk unique shrouded vest.
I activate blink with a button press, which causes me to do the stopping animation when you end a sprint, even though I did not hold down. This is a blink-specific issue and doesn't happen with dodge, so its not like I'm just "holding too long" or something. If you get hit in the interim between the stopping animation's end and the blink, you get a heavy stun. It sucks so much. Bug reproduction: 1) Wear Sands of Silk 2) Blink 3) Sprint stop animation triggers 4) Get hit, be heavy stunned. :( EDIT: Confirmed. I put on a pair of Shankgonne boots and it doesn't have the issue, due to the "You Cannot Sprint" line. I think the best fix would be adjusting the sprint activation time on holding the spacebar, when Blink is used/active. Last edited by Ithloniel#2925 on Oct 1, 2025, 6:20:34 PM

Just to add onto what everyone else said, it is actually terrible to play right now. I'm currently playing a Reap build which has to get into melee range and use unique boots with terrible movement speed so I tried to solve that downside with Temporalis Blink. 25% of the time when Blinking into a pack, I get knocked down and heavy stunned, almost always leading to death. This build that has good enough clear and damage shouldn't just be completely unviable due to lacking the ability to walk fast enough.
Making Blink function in the same way Shankgonne Boots do where it has the "Cannot Sprint while skill is active," clause on Blink would be so nice, and likely solve all issues with the skill. An additional note to it, since Blink has already been nerf'd so that "Cast On Dodge" and autobombing with Temporalis is no longer a build that can be made viable anymore also reduce the cooldown on Blink so that people can actually use it with Temporalis as an efficient movement skill. I only even make this recommendation as other builds are allowed to move around at roughly 120% Movement Speed at no cost other then a few points on the tree and nice boots, I think its fair to allow people to pay for a nice chest armor and a spirit investment to get a similar result. |
