First time Lich, chatted to friends that have played had same experience.

'Life cannot change when your have energy shield' acts as intended but makes game play fun and super awkward.

At least let us use a Well to full heal if we want, or turn the skill on and off on demand?

Because people are working around it any way, they either buy a unique to remove Energy shield and heal or the refund the passive and heal and it's just extra super clunky that doesn't need to exist if you could enable or disable the skill when you wanted.
