Killed Excavation site boss and now can't go to excavation site

I just killed the boss at the excavation site in Act 4 and I died but also killed the boss and when I revived, the boss is dead but door won't open to continue the story. The quest is called the search and the next step is to enter the excavation site.

EDIT: Ok resetting the instance worked, let me fight him again and I was able to continue.
Same, just happened to me too. Killed boss and died at the same time, now everytime I get to Excavation, boss says opening line, then just flies away. Door is closed. Last edited by lawldewm#3915 on Sep 7, 2025, 1:13:26 PM
