PoE2 crashing (reproducible)

i have a rtx2070 and i7 8700k using dx12

my poe2 client has been consistently crashing:
usually if i'm not doing anything else after some 1+ hours of playtime and while i'm in combat using skills on mobs, it goes white with "poe2 not responding" message.

this happens much sooner once i start opening other background tasks such as another game then it happens much faster/immediately once i go into combat with enemies.

i can't use vulkan because of endless loading screens or dx11 because of stuttering
