Why is Burning Inscription suggested for Blasphemy?

When using Blasphemy (+Elemental Weakness), the game suggests Burning Inscription as support gem. Runic inscriptions are not well explained in the game tooltips, but it works with self-case curses. However, I'm pretty sure it has no effect with a Blasphemy curse-aura. Bug or am I missing something?

Supported Skills trigger Burning Inscription after their Runic Inscriptions expire When you cast curse yourself there are runic inscriptions If you use blasphemy there are no runic inscriptions on the ground. Simple. No? |
