Reporting scammers and results

Is there a point in reporting scammers from async trade? Is it possible to get the scammers banned or the lost divs returned?

My story is that I went to buy a logbook for 25ex, and it was sitting in a tab filled with logbooks all listed at 25 golden things. The logbooks were all sold at the same time to create a feeding frenzy of people showing up to buy, with a great sense of urgency. Among these logbooks were several in the big pile for the price of 25 divines rather than exalts. Unfortunately I had just managed to get my fortune up to 25 divines. I lost all my divines due to rushing the purchases to beat the other buyers. That was my bad, and foolish. At the same time, this was obviously an attempt to scam players.

Is there any point in reporting scams like these? Will GGG do anything about it? What is their policy on these matters? Will they ban the perpetrators and/or return my poorly spent divines? Is behavior this considered par for the course with the new trading system?

Reporting won't do anything as all prices are visible before you buy anything. You scammed yourself by rushing.
not a scam, just bad mannered

can just block these users if you don't want them to "scam" you again
It seems a lot of them got banned for scamming, so I guess reporting was the right thing to do.
did you get your divs back?

I got scammed in the same way with waystones, I reported them but... a ban doesn't put the divs back in the bank...
