Game crashes when I use plasma blast

Not always, but pretty often to the point it makes me wanna scrap the build... I've noticed it only happens when im weapon swapping straight into plasma blast (im using quarterstaff/crossbow). I'm also using the mtx that makes it red, not sure if it has anything to do with it. Please fix.
