Quiting the game

I've tried to RNG a Tier 1 lightning damage for my quiver, after I've spent 32 divines, and I couldn't hit it; it was the break point for me. The game is nice, but the craft is way too complex, mostly for people who are not native English speakers. Farming for 50-100 maps without a decent drop because of lack of items, because of lack of drops, because of lack of items (cycle) is amazing, but I'm not a mindless robot.
We all get fooled by the big streamers and how easy it is to craft/farm/ but in real life, the game is like hardcore on its own. I hope one day the game is easier to play so we can eventually get to the so-called "END GAME" ever...

I think this is one of the most insane comments I've read in a long time and honestly quite bigot

All I wanted was to follow a guide from a person on how to craft in PoE2. What gambling problems are you talking about I'll never understand. I wanted to leave feedback on why I'm leaving the game to the devs or whoever might find it useful, that's all!

well that was fucking dumb.... like you could have bought a blue quiver with t1 lightning dmg to attacks for maybe 20ex and than crafted onto it. Shit you could of probably bought a fractured one for a div or two so you could chaos spam/ annul/ and use the omens for only pre/suffix ex slams. Like I'm guessing you have no clue how crafting works or the categories mods belong to and should probably read up on that before you try crafting stuff like this. Just take it for the learning experience it is.

Wow, that's amazing. I've always said that people should not follow guides, and I guess this is why. They inflate your expectations so high, that you just cannot enjoy the game, anymore.

I've tried this once this season and never again. Lost 50d spamming annuls and hoping for the right things to pop on my wand. Not even once did it hit +5 lightning.

And unfortunately I don't have a community that will buy me back into the game.

But I won't complain too much tho. This type of crafting is hardcore and you don't actually need it. There's literally 0 content gated behind a best in slot build. Eventually I settled for a very decent +4 piece and did the same with the rest of my gear... Just all very decent but nothing best in slot. No corrupted 3 slots, no insane mirror level items.

And I beat all bosses on their highest difficulty.

I'm not sure what people need that perfect T1 crafting for. Because they "want" it? Well then better get your statistics right and have deep pockets.

Yeah, so part of the learning experience in POE is dumping currency. I don't call it wasting currency because you should be looking to learn from your choices, which helps you improve as a player over time.

To me, regardless of what language someone speaks, its kind of a common sense thing to approach crafting with the mindset of - what is the cheapest way I can do this?

It's really not complicated, like anything else in life, it requires time, commitment, and a bit of focus, the payoff is being able to.... do things at a better level than you previously did, this is called progress, or progression, that feeling of "ah I have achieved this success/payoff"

Playing devils advocate, maybe this isn't the game for you? There are other games out there that are geared more to an entry level of ARPG, such as Diablo 4. However, the progression curve and reward curve IMO is more steep.

It took me years, much currency, much time, to learn the things I have learned but to me, it was worth it.

Everything ain't for everybody.

Additionally, if you are farming 50-100 maps without a decent drop, you should define what decent is, because if I am farming 50-100 maps, with a proper loot filter setup, I would be picking up things to sell, I would imagine that's how you obtained the 32 div to begin with, correct?

this is such a good forum post because it hits the exact "I tried doing things the wrong way and failed horribly, so I'm quitting because this game is horrible" theme we go for on these forums

Yeah that's going about it backwards... Unless you're just rolling and slamming every white blue and hoping but you wouldn't try to craft it that way. You'd just be looking for cheap things that had close to the right mods with an open suffix and greater ex slam um and maybe sell them to recoup some cost on the fails. Like semi there rare weps should cost way less an annul so it's cheaper to just get a new one and try again vs annul. To craft it all the way up you'd want the things that make the weapon useful or trash on the base you're crafting from fractured even if you're determined. Jewelry is pretty much the only thing you can plan on hitting specific things later cause you can cannibalize catalysts to give a better chance of hitting certain types of mods.
