Abyssal Ichor puddles (aka Dots)
As a melee player atm, i find myself doing something so weird its been bothering me this whole season. Damage over time puddles...
This season i wanted to go with a fun build. This requires me to get close to do damage. However, ive started to play the game in a weird way. instead of focusing on combat and all that... I find myself watching my health in case it starts to drop quickly. Yes, the stupid blood puddles from act 1, and now the ichor puddles from the abyssal. I have found the game fun. But I just don't care for this mechanic as out of nowhere i find myself loosing a ton of health. Yes, i can pop a health pot and dodge roll to move away from it. However, if I look away for just a moment, i might find myself eating dirt due to a very... Very well hidden dot that is covered by mobs and visual effects. The fact that its a dark green does not help when in the Abyss itself. It forces you to be careful and mindful of your surroundings. How is this fair though if they are hidden by mobs or bosses, and drain your health insanely fast. I'm not tanky by any means and yes, maybe I need more health to mitigate this issue. But if an area gets littered with them, there is no mechanical way of avoiding death except for healing. I just think the drain is too fast. Maybe making them stand out more is a tall order. but please look at Dots again. Last bumped on Sep 24, 2025, 5:47:40 PM
