Melee Movement, Targeting, and Pathing

Hello Dead Things,

Umm... Yeah, so as the title says. I know melee has been a subject for a long time. I played on-and-off since beta poe1, i know what I was getting myself into. The post isn't my tear bucket. And my computer isn't a potato: 32gb ram, 16 cores, and 12gb of ddr6 with a fiber connection doesn't predicate performance issues.

Movement:

This has more to do with invisible fence posts, corner snagging, and hang ups. Also, ground effect skills like storm wave.

The way the maps are designed appears to be around many sharp edges that project into battle space. As a long time player, I know that sometimes hitting those tight corners are the differences between life and death. However, i'm running into the terrain object fence posts that are not only immersion breaking, its just ... frustrating. I want to use a bunch of other derogatory terms; but, i'll simply say that the invisible wall thing on a bush corner terrain object is...killing my experience. Getting my skill blocked by overly dense terrain is just not great. I'm not saying don't have a dense terrain model, but its really destroying the experience as a melee player. It's immersive from an art perspective, but from a game play perspective it's absolutely ruining skill shots, escapes, and movements where I do not believe it should. The edges on the objects are tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sharp. They need to get sanded. Movement hangs because we're running into "walls" and not soft edges which can be maneuvered around. Also, the fact that a log is stopping my god-killing character dead in their tracks is hysterically shit.

Targeting:

The snap targeting, even when target ground is enabled, is still targeting the nearest enemy rather than the rare monster or ground area i have targeted. I've died several times to this, and, so are many other players. This isn't the game killing us, it's the programming deciding that it wants to do whatever it wants. No no, nosotros gustamos ese. Its just...hysterically shit AND it feels really unfair. Not to mention, skills feel unresponsive even when I've mashed them three times in milliseconds. And the historic "ive clicked the 'whatever im clicking on' six times and it still hasn't 'activated|picked up|whatever else'."

Pathing:

This has to do with monster AI. Listen, I don't want to tell yall that a one-size fits all option doesn't make sense. But, it doesn't. A brain dead skeleton and a fast-moving zombie shouldn't be using advanced flanking tactics to fight me. That's just...hysterically shit. I hope this is just a me issue.

It could be on me because I am playing melee. As a player though, this is what I am noticing. I guess the issues stand out more because I am playing melee.
