The use of the word "upgrade" is misleading
I think this game would benefit from changing out the word "upgrade" and replacing it with some other word, because it's misleading in its current iteration. For example; I just chose to "upgrade" a couple of tier 2 prefixes and got tier 7 and 8 prefixes instead. That is not an upgrade.
I've seen other examples too, such as with "upgrading" tabs and such that have disappointed players. Upgrade means to raise the standard of something. It doesn't mean to give you something different that may or may not be better. Last edited by Berylstone#2209 on Sep 25, 2025, 4:41:21 PM Last bumped on Sep 26, 2025, 6:13:15 AM

Uh, can you elaborate on that? How do you "upgrade" an affix?
The tab upgrade is outside the game, but yeah it should probably be called a "transition". |

Could you make bit more sense?

" When purchasing items with expedition currency you are given two choices; Skip and Upgrade. But the Upgrade option is misleading, because it doesn't upgrade your affixes. In my case, it downgraded them substantially. Which is the opposite of upgrade. Last edited by Berylstone#2209 on Sep 26, 2025, 5:26:39 AM

" Sorry, but I'm not sure what is confusing you. The game gives you the option to upgrade, but it doesn't actually upgrade. Therefore it is misleading. I don't know how to put it any more simpler than that. |

" Dude. You speak tabs and upgrades in same frigging post. You prolly can read it and it makes complete sense, but the rest of not. If it is not upgrade for your specific build, it is so. Let's play a little and pretend I agree with you. I'm bloodmage and I already have critical hit chance near 100%. In wand, I prefer "gain xx life" instead of Critical chance. Why? Because I already crit. ON THE OTHER HAND, if I would get a good wand with Crit chance on it, it would be "Downgrade" for me. Nut in market it's different. Poe does not circle around you, u feel man? |
