Please keep "Kill all rares" as OPTIONAL path for completion.

Map completion should be:

Kill all rares **OR** kill map boss.

Not every HCSSF build is meant for bossing. This just adds unnecessary friction for the weaker builds, especially at the start of the end game.

I'm already envisioning a scenario where I'll feel forced to reset my first end-game map until I feel geared enough to start bossing, feeling pigeonholed in to running strong boss killing builds, or intentionally running lower tier stones on the more difficult bosses that I'm not yet geared enough for.

I'm aware that the game is *not balanced* around HCSSF, but taking this option away just adds unnecessary hurdles that require tedious, unfun workarounds.

Yea, I'm currently in HCSSF and this update makes the game a lot harder. For starters, you now have to run every map with 6 mods to get the benefits of 3 tablets. That's an even bigger difficulty increase than adding bosses. I don't have an infinite supply of well rolled maps. So either my risk of death will be increasing significantly or the amount of drops I get will be decreasing.

But I don't really mind. I'm playing this mode to make the game as challenging as possible. If that's not the goal, why be on HCSSF?

You can do that already - kill all the rare, and all other parts of the map you like; port to town; reset the map. All the map features are gone and you can redo it with rares only even as tier one map.
Probably pretty safe if you just fit some freeze or stun, or run temp chains/enfeeble. Map bosses are not insane.

Can also just neglect the map boss points to keep them at difficulty 1.
Yea... And then all people gonna head to boss room.

Obsessed with xp gain, that ruins Jonathan's vision!

Why not making Bosses not to give xp and instead buff all the other content of the map. Tired to see people skeeping areas...
So much this. I absolutely hate certain bosses on certain builds. Right now i can still run the maps which are supposed to have these bosses, but with these changes i'll end up just avoiding certain maps altogether. It also makes ES even more powerful compared to life. There's no way in hell i'll be running 6 mod Savannah on a 2.5k life character. That's just not gonna happen.

Interesting point

Although you can delete most bosses now i personally still don't want to fight them every single time
Currently map bosses feels less random / dangerous than average rare mob on the same map.
