Druid information & discussion

Any word on our upcoming resident furry?
Like, is it going to be a boring bog standard druid where you can turn into a bear, wolf &/or bird or is it going to have that unique GGG flavor/twist?

Hopefully they make it so you can turn into ANY enemy. Imagine how cool that would be? idk how you could balance everything out. Maybe make it an ascendency and the type of enemy you turn into has a spirit cost? Like, if you want to be one of the Abyssal laser enemys it costs you 60 Spirit to transform and you get its full ability roster. Each ascendency perk point you spend lowers the spirit cost and increases HP/Mana/Castspeed/whatever.

If you want to be the big 1shot Gorilla boss guy it costs 250 spirit standard, with special ascendency passive nodes you can knock the cost down to 150 spirit and gain +% HP & dmg or something.

GGG has an opportunity to make this the single greatest class in all of gaming history as long as they let you turn into any enemy xD Anything from the little 1hp beetle guys to the biggest, hugest, most honking monster out there. They revolutionized Minion builds by letting you turn basically any enemy into a specter, I hope they do the same with the Druid.

no you're not going to be able to turn into any enemy..... that would be dumb for a druid. If anything it would beasts but I doubt that's gonna be a thing. They'll probably have an ascendancy that makes use of companions/tamed beasts better with a higher cap, one for nature magic, and one for shapeshifting melee. There will probably be something like bonding that lets you take on aspects of your companions not just the aura you might get from them but their innate abilities that come from their type not just the mods that might roll on a rare/unique.

Im telling you, it would be amazing! Like I was saying, make it one of the ascendencys. It would just be weird and unique. Every game that has a druid has the same boring old druid.

Come on, GGG. Kick some life into that druid :D go right crazy with it. Let us be one of those big Vaal statue guys that slowly lumbers around if we want too. Sometimes a fella wants to be a 1HP baby wasp and other times you want to be a lumbering abyssal drippy poo monster.

Morphing into Silverfist and then creating public hc parties so you can give people a heart attack when they enter your zone and you sunder on them.
