Sprint forced key assignment to dodge/roll
I’d like to request an option to either disable Sprint entirely or to assign Sprint to its own separate key instead of having it bound together with Dodge/Roll.
Currently, Sprint is forced to share the same key as Dodge, and this creates a very clunky interaction—especially after using abilities like Blink. Because Sprint auto-activates immediately after the dodge/teleport, my character feels sluggish and unresponsive, almost like “turning a boat” instead of making a sharp action. This not only slows down movement flow but also makes certain skills feel awkward to use in combat. Having the ability to separate Sprint to its own keybind (or toggle it off completely) would give players more control and keep movement responsive without unintended slowdowns. My issue is you only have to hold the key for like a quarter second to trigger sprint, so in the middle of a large fight it's easy to hold it down a tenth of a second too long... get tripped... and have a guaranteed death because it stuns you and disables all defenses for like 3 full seconds.
I would be okay with sprint being punished this hard if it was a toggle to have it tied to roll, but as it currently stands my most deaths by far are from getting tripped. The risk vs reward of something on a button you're going to be using constantly is way too disproportionate. It's the lamest and most deflating way to die, because it's not like my defenses failed, or I was outplayed ... the game is simply designed to punish decades of muscle memory on how a mechanic is used in literally all other games. I'm trying to level in the 90s and this is basically the way I died the last 5x and I'm ready to simply quit the league because it's wasting my time and it's terrible design. |
