Co-Op Sekhema Difficulties

First off, my buddy and I are enjoying the heck out of this league. It's a blast, so thank you for such a good time.

We aren't good at Trial of the Sekhema, but we actually look forward to it each league. It's a bizarre and very interesting system that has us debating the best path forward, strategies for survival, and generally feeling triumphant when we (eventually) succeed.

I did want to mention a point of frustration with the trial. Since my friend was on an evasion-based build and I was nearly full energy shield, we ran into an issue where we got the worst of both builds defensively. Every time I got hit by a stray projectile on screen I took damage. This was perfectly forgiving for my character because it took a small percentage of my honor, but it chunked a comparitively massive portion of my friend's honor. This led to a situation where the success of a run depended entirely on my ability to dodge every small projectile to avoid depleting our smallest honor bar. We ran a quick test and confirmed that the optimal way to run it was have me flee from combat and my friend take care of enemies, because the hits almost never landed on them and when they did, my honor bar wasn't severely damaged anyway, and my friend only took damage that was relatively acceptable for their build. Technically the more optimal way was to split and complete it separately, but we're in it for co-op and charged into combat together anyway. We did make it through together with both of us participating, but it was an insane challenge for my dodging skills.

To be clear, I like that the whole team gets slapped for everyone's mistakes and hope that continues to be the case. I would just appreciate it if the large energy shield pool I brought wasn't purely a liability for the team. If there could be a chance for my friend to evade the hits that I took, or if they only took a percentage of their honor bar based on the percentage of mine that was lost, or something along those lines, we'd probably run the trial for loot on occasion when we find baryas because it's such a fun change of pace.

Thanks again for such a fun game, and I look forward to all that future updates have in store for us!

It's not 100% a solution, but try and make sure your honor resistance is capped before attempting the trial. 75% resistance should do wonders for your friend if you take hits.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

It can be even funnier.

Last time I did a multiplayer Sek trial, the energy shield stacking host made the silly decision to take an affliction that deals physical damage to you upon taking it.
It one shot my honor bar.
@Pizzarugi I appreciate the advice. We did stack as much honor resist and max honor as possible. This league we didn't even need to cap out because we got lucky and were able to pick up both silver tongue and the major boon that prevents gaining small afflictions near the start of floor 1. Ended the run with more than 20 boons and zero afflictions, which was hilarious. We still nearly lost the run to the floor 2 boss cause I can't dodge those attacks for sh** but the rest of the run was hilarious. Also @The_Song that's equal parts horrible and hilarious.
