Question for the crafters around - Omen of homogenising exaltation

Can i combine the omen of homogenising exaltation with the omen of greater exaltation?
Will the first one proc for both affixes and add 2 affixes sharing the same tag?

I want to use it on a body armour.
That armour have so far 1 prefixe: % Increased EV/ES.
3 suffix: Chaos/cold/fire resistance.

According to poe2BD the suffix tags arent in the prefix tags possible.

Should i get 2 defense prefix on the body armour with the combo of theese 2 omens or will it only roll 1 defense and 1 random from the omen of greater exaltation?

Just want to be sure to not waste it and get a second mod i dont want and that would be hard to be rid of. I can wait to get another omen of homogenising exaltation if it's the way.

I am planning to use greater exalted orb if that matter. Item level is 80.

Yes, this works and you can combo them. It's done quite regularly, for example to add two more "defence" tags on body armour if you have only a defence tag to begin with.

Am not sure what would happen if you the tag that gets chosen only has one possible mod though. If that will added and nothing else, or 1 + a random one, or if it will simply fail.

Edit: Looking at craftofexile, there are 3 possible defence mods you can get, and you will get two of them with those two omens. Which you get is random, I think, so no guarantees. But hopefully you get the two best ones. Usually the one that adds life or mana kinda blows, but perhaps that is different on mixed bases like EV+ES?

Hoping for a flat ES/EV than the hybrid with % but we'll see.

It did work as intended if anyone is wondering too later on.

Didnt roll the perfect combo i wanted but it's already great and i got my 2% EV back after last update so i'm very happy =)

Time to work on the other pieces of gear.
