0.3.1 PRECUSOR TABLETS NOT SUSTAINBLE
I started a fresh SSF run to test the new 0.3.1 patch and discovered certain tablets are not sustainable.
the change of tablets and quantity nerf has played a major effect to sustainability of tablets and thus led to accessibility to ritual, breach, expedition, and delirium. the only sustainable tablets are irradiated and overseer - towers give you one tablet guaranteed - bosses being in every maps and boss nodes has fixed spawn on atlas map allows more opportunity to drop overseer tablets. whereas ritual, breach, expedition, and delirium, tablets are all RNG drops. ritual tablets have it the worse because of the mob density difference from breach, expedition, and delirium tablets i have: 80 irradiated 67 overseer 2 breach 0 ritual 1 delirium 2 expedition currently level 94, running 6 mod maps with +quant on 3 irradiated tablets. You may have been unlucky cause i get them doing rituals.
Other type also. As long as you run ritual so if you really dont have any than it might be a problem. Not sure how they did it now, i know before you would only get them from naturaly spawn rituals maps. You dont have some nodes left from prior to patch with rituals to try there? SSF player

" No prior nodes because its a fresh clean start. I wanted to test 0.3.1 with a fresh map. I have had some ritual tablets drop from clearing ritual mobs, but yet to have one appear in the ritual loot selection. My total amount of ritual tablets so far has been 10, so in 100 ritual runs, I've yet to drop any more and hit 0. I'm now reliant on hoping the map spawns the free mechanic, it landing ritual, the ritual mob dropping a tablet, and within the 10 runs, I can sustain another ritual tablet. its pretty bad design if you leave the accessibility of mechanics to luck imo. appreciate the response! |

Ha yeah, damn that's rough.
Hope you get luckier soon. Just seen someone in bug section having about same issue on a fresh start. Maybe you can give a +1 there. SSF player

Eh, I have so many breach tablets I just leave them on the ground now, but rituals are rare for some reason even though I spam ritual.

" are you playing with an existing atlas map and a stockpile of tablets from 0.3.0 or a fresh start? this is really important because if you are, you will not see the real effects of how 0.3.1 patch really is. quant is nerfed in 0.3.1 and early map tablets sustainable is taking a negative hit that I discovered, not sure if this is a bug or its intended from GGG. if this stays around in 0.4. Its more indicative to how the player experience will be like at league start. Tablets will be so rare and mechanics will be so inaccessible, its not going to be fun. |

Across every 10 map little thing I do I usually get 4 tablets in return. Give or take 2.
Seeing ... them okay? Are you guys avoiding towers completely? Mash the clean

" When it comes to the irradiated tablets, there is no issue because clearing a tower will give you one tablet guarantee and you have higher chance since its a natural drop in maps. Its the other tablets that are having issues. There is no fixed drop rate for them, they only drop within their mechanics on rng. Those mechanics are only appearing in the "1-3" free mechanic spawn, which is fix per map. (There is no real evidence yet of strongboxes, essence, and the boss itself taken one of those 1-3 chances away) Lets say you drop one ritual tablet, you now have 10 chances as a starting point to try and drop another. It doesnt drop in the 10 maps, you now have to run more map nodes that you dont want to try and roll for the 1-3 chance. It just doesn't, how many maps will you have to run before you see ritual mechanic again. In my case, its been 100 maps and I have yet to drop a ritual tablet. Do you see the problem? |
