In the first zone you can respawn unlimited times by the gem chest to get unlimited gems

It really seems like "respawn at checkpoint" for unlimited copies of the gem should not be possible. The chest should only drop a gem once, and not drop one again if you respawn. This is "abused" in speedruns for gold.
