What type of DoT abyss rares have ?

It doesn't trigger any charms and bypasses energy shield.

It's chaos-based similar to bleed or poison, hence cutting through shields.

There is also the "death aura" which is called degen and there's basically nothing you can do about it but try to run away. It disables all healing/regen and isn't on any resist. Even with 85% chaos resist.

I think it's physical DoT.
It bypass everything even armour.

Looks like a scam damage...
