Despair curse not applied to minions when bound to second weapon

Despair curse not applied to minions when bound to second weapon. The spell casts on the floor but the curse does not appear below the monsters health bar. It works again if I bind it to the first weapon.

I found the answer on poe2db. Each gem level of despair has a maximum monster level that it can be applied to and my second weapon set had fewer "+ levels". Gem levels 18 and beyond have no limit according to poe2db, but I was using level 17 due mana costs.
Please add this info to the gem's tool tip if this is the intended behavior. |
