Azmerian Wisp Feedback
The wisps are an incredibly frustrating mechanic to play around. It feels like an escort mission in (insert any MMO). The radius at which it moves is small, and the movement speed so slow, that you have to put your character in harms way to get it to move through packs of monsters. With all the builds I have played this league (5), the wisp mechanic has just felt clunky.
It feels like you are playing katamari, trying to push the glowing ball towards and through the mobs while making sure you don't accidentally kill them before they get enchanted and that you don't die because you have opened yourself up to being swarmed. On paper, that might seem fine, but in reality, what ends up happening is that I open myself up to 20+ monsters swarming me before I am sure that the monsters are enchanted. If I am up against a pack of ranged monsters (abyss monsters), I basically have to be up in melee range before I can even engage them. It is typically a miracle if I even survive before they are enchanted. I feel like they could be a lot more aggressive in their monster acquisition. Perhaps they should behave like the tormented spirits in POE1, that seek out a monster to inhabit regardless of what the player does. It has a minimap icon for us to track, so it isn't a big deal if the wisp goes off screen. Perhaps consider leaving the coloured trails for us to follow as well, like in the Affliction league.
