Bad faith pricing on Merchant tab bannable?
So I was wondering a situation that many of you probably noticed too.
There are some "smart" guys that list several items for XX exalted, and in the middle of them theres 1 for XX divines. Its the same number, but a different currency. Today I had a really bad experience, was looking to buy tablets to restart a farm session, and I was buying several tablets for 190 exalted each. Guess what happened? In the mid of them, there was one listed for 190 DIVINES, and I BOUGHT IT obviously by mistake. Its arguable that I bought because I wanted, I was not forced to buy, etc But its clearly a bad faith pricing, its totally out of market price. Can I request a transaction reverse? Can this guy get banned for this? Is there any kind of policy or not at all? Should I just move on and accept my 190 divines loss or is there any way to make the guy pay for that (ban) or I get back my currency? No it's not bannable at all as you're the one who made a mistake. Yeah it's a dick move but last I checked someone agreeing to buy something from you is perfectly fine if they have remorse or not is on them. The price was there on your screen, you just ignored it most likely cause you didn't want someone else to come buy them so you gave up on accuracy for speed. Kinda the same issue as someone swapping items or wrong amounts of currency in the trade window..... You decided to buy it, you not checking what you buy is a you problem.... While this is kinda an expensive mistake take it for the learning experience it is. Doubt you'll do it again.

No. I agree it was bad faith, but I don't think it breached a Term of Service. You got pranked, but it's not enough to kick someone out of school. Use it as a learning experience, I guess.

I don't think it is bannable. And I think it should not be bannable as well.
People should start paying attention to things happening around them, rather than expecting everyone else to accommodate their ignorance. You are responsible for your own actions. The system is there. As long as you do what you are supposed to do -read the clearly indicated price- you should be fine. |
