short crafting questions for amulet

I'm playing SSF (and first time non-ruthless in a while, so sort of forgot how to use the crafting bench), and I stumbled across a +1 all skills amulet.

It is ilvl 84 and has only for mods, two suff and two pref. Except for the prefix "exalters" (+1 all skills) the other three are of course junk.

My short question is:
- With the limited currency available to me in SSF, how can I turn this into something really good for me (other than the +1 all)?
- Of course ideally I'd like +1 to minions
- Am I correct in thinking the first craft is "prefixes cannot be changed"?
- But what happens after that is sort of beyond me -- those prefixes will not remain locked and unchangeable if I take a scouring to it (since the scour will remove the metacraft mod too), so ... not sure what the next steps are.
- Even if getting +1 minions is unrealistic, I think nice tier life and dexterity is what I require, chaos res would be helpful, and mana mitigation...
- Any link to a concise source for crafting this type of thing for beginners in non-trade league would be appreciated -- I have 5 divine orbs and no way to reliably increase this amount any time soon. But getting the amulet into a state I can wear it (will need at least life and dex) and then "finishing it off" later is also ok?

thanks in advance

I don't think there is a +1 minion skills mod on amulet. Might want to check Craft of Exile.

Also, I hope you get an answer, as I would like to know, too!

I would just try lock prefix and scour then slam exaults that or possibly veil chaos orb then slam ex. Make sure to block w/e you can with bench when slamming. You could also do reforge from harvest I think that probably has better odds of getting useful mods.

Thing about crafting in poe is it takes lots of attempts to hit generally. If you really just want the +1 you could basically just go for super settle mode and get a decent amulet with a few stats you need instead of trying to get one with 5-6.

I think fossil crafting is the best way to get +1 all if you want to try again on a different amulet. But +1 all is pretty rare mod to hit.

I think people crafting a gg amulet like that might also use orb of dominance and stuff like that also for extra mods you can't normally get.
