B-52 Carpet Bomber Abyssal Lich - Siege Cascade & Stormblast Bolts (NO Last Lament) [BOTW] [0.3]
This is a, one button, crossbow spirit stacking Umbral Souls Abyssal Lich build.
--Showcase-- Full clear https://youtu.be/f_xw9VdcaRI Clear (chilled ground slowing me down a bit) ![]() T3 Xesht ![]() I will be explaining how the build works in this post, check out the mobalytics guide if you're curious about my current setup: https://mobalytics.gg/poe-2/profile/e30f67ab-93b0-4784-99ce-c70fcc764ba9/builds/eef7b011-2ed9-410d-8b9b-76abc95a8094 --Big picture-- It uses two off meta skills, Siege Cascade for clear and Stormblast Bolts for bossing. Both skills rain bolts from above, which I think adds a cool thematic flair to the build. For clear, pushing proj. speed with Siege Cascade past a certain limit unlocks a whole new playstyle. Carpet bombing the screen. For bossing, I found a cool weapon swap tech with Umbral Souls which allows Stormblast Bolts to benefit both from massive attack speed as well as massive proj. damage. --Clear-- Quick explanation on how Siege Cascade works:
Spoiler
When you attack with this skill, a bolt is fired at every monster in a radius around your cursor. Siege Cascade hits twice, once after a short delay, defined as "Impact" in game, and exploding for a second hit after 0.6s , defined as "Explosion" in game.
Both the target acquisition radius around your cursor and the explosion can be scaled with area of effect. The delay between using the skill and the impact can be reduced with proj. speed, but the delay between impact and explosion is an unscalable 0.6s. The issue with Siege Cascade alone, is that by the time it lands and then explodes, that monster would have moved away. It also suffers from only having 1 bolt loaded at a time. There are two breakpoints that need to be hit that make this skill way more effective at clear: enough proj. speed and enough stun buildup. With enough investment into proj. speed, the impact hit of Siege Cascade is almost instant. Adding enough stun buildup makes this impact hit light stun the monster, which then gives you just enough time for the explosion to hit again 0.6s after, effectively guaranteeing both hits on all but the zippiest of enemies. Note: with Projectile Acceleration III, increases to Proj. Speed apply to Proj. Damage, which is a huge amount of free damage. Infinite ammo is achieved with the Double Barrel III support gem, which automatically reloads on heavy stun. The case for Daze: Daze is an effect that makes a monster take 50% MORE stun buildup. Since SC hits twice, it makes it a natural candidate for this, the first hit applies Daze and the explosion that follows benefits from it. Putting this all together: 1. The bolt hits almost instantly. 2. Light stuns. 3. Applies Daze. 4. Explosion hits 0.6s later, heavy stunning. 5. Double Barrel III reloads a bolt. Now sprinkle in a bunch of Area of Effect scaling, making your target acquisition radius cover most of the screen while also making every explosion hit multiple monsters in a pack and you're on your way to carpet bombing every moving thing on your screen and beyond. This build achieves the needed amount of Proj. Speed, Stun Buildup and Area of Effect with the new Abyssal Lich ascendancy which turns skeletal minions into buffs, depending on the skeletal minion chosen. Currently I have 577 spirit and 48% reservation efficiency, which is enough for 10 Skeletal Archers and 10 Skeletal Arsonists to be reserved + spirit gems, giving me the needed Proj. Speed and Area of Effect respectively. You can find all my sources for spirit in the mobalytics guide, but one source I wanted to highlight is Alpha's Howl unique, not only because it provides a massive spirit boost, it also doubles my Presence Radius. This allows Overwhelming Presence to reduce the stun threshold of monsters almost screen wide, which benefits Siege Cascade for the reasons mentioned above. --Bossing-- For bossing, I use a Stormblast Bolts weapon swap, in this Weapon Set 2, I reserve as many Skeletal Reavers as I can, which provide a huge skill speed increase (138% skill speed increase from the reavers alone with my current setup). And for the cool tech, by supporting Stormblast Bolts with Projectile Acceleration III and weapon swapping back to Weapon Set 1 (which still has a bunch of Proj. Speed increase from the Skeletal Archers), detonating the bolts in this Weapon Set allows the Stormblast bolts to benefit from the increased damage. So essentially you would rain down 30 Stormblast bolts insanely fast then detonate them with 350%+ proj. damage increase thanks to the buff from the Skeletal Archers + Projectile Acceleration III. Pretty much benefitting from both buffs. I use electrocute here to make bossing even safer, I'm already using Overwhelming Presence which reduces the ailment threshold of bosses allowing for easier Electrocutes. --A note on Mobility and Survivability-- Nothing new here really, es/evasion hybrid for defences. 70%+ movement speed and 100% reduced movement speed penalty while using skills are obviously really nice. Another advantage of stacking proj. speed and stun buildup is by light stunning everything you are effectively interrupting a lot of their attacks/casts which is pretty good for running head first into a pack.
